Neighborhood Grant Program

Helping Neighbors Improve Stagecoach Together

The Stagecoach Property Owners Association (SPOA) Neighborhood Grant Program helps residents work together to improve their neighborhoods and strengthen the sense of community across Stagecoach.

Grants from $25 up to $2,000 are available to support neighborhood-led projects, activities, and improvements that benefit the broader community.

These grants are designed to empower residents to bring neighbors together, improve shared spaces, and foster pride in our community.

Neighborhood grants can support many types of projects and activities, including:

Community Building

  • Neighborhood block parties or potlucks
  • Community gatherings or events
  • Neighborhood welcome events for new residents

Beautification Projects

  • Landscaping or planting projects in common areas
  • Community garden spaces
  • Neighborhood signage or entry improvements

Volunteer & Service Projects

  • Neighborhood clean-ups
  • Fire mitigation or vegetation management projects
  • Trail or common area improvement projects

Infrastructure & Community Improvements

  • Small improvements to shared spaces
  • Minor infrastructure repairs or enhancements that benefit the neighborhood

These projects should focus on shared spaces and community benefit, not individual properties.

The program cannot fund certain types of activities, including:

Projects located entirely on private property

  • Political activities or campaigning
  • HOA operational or business expenses
  • Purchase of alcohol
  • Any project that does not provide a clear neighborhood benefit

These restrictions help ensure grant funds are used for projects that benefit the broader Stagecoach community.

Grant applications are reviewed based on several factors, including:

  • How well the project brings neighbors together
  • Whether it builds community pride
  • How many residents will participate or benefit
  • Whether the project includes volunteer contributions
  • Whether there are matching donations or in-kind contributions
  • The efficient use of association funds

Projects with strong neighborhood involvement and volunteer participation are often the most successful.

Step 1 — Plan Your Project

Work with neighbors to develop an idea that benefits your local area.

Step 2 — Complete the Application

Submit a Neighborhood Grant Program application including:

  • Project description
  • Estimated budget
  • Number of participating households
  • Contact information for three neighborhood organizers

Step 3 — Submit the Application

Applications must be submitted before the event or project occurs.

Applications may be submitted by individual residents or neighborhood groups.

After an application is approved:

  • Applicants will receive a grant agreement
  • The agreement must be signed and returned
  • Grant funds are typically issued by check

Depending on timing, funds may be issued after the project as reimbursement if the event occurs soon after approval.

Within two weeks after the project or event, applicants must submit:

Copies of receipts

A brief project evaluation

Failure to submit these items may make the neighborhood ineligible for future grant funding.
